Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before booking a stay or event at Sanctuary of the Strange ("the Property"). By completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment Structure

  • Initial Deposit: Fifty percent (50%) of the total booking fee is due at the time of booking.

  • Final Balance: The remaining fifty percent (50%) is due exactly seven (7) days prior to your scheduled arrival.

  • Non-Refundable Policy: All payments, including the initial deposit and the final balance, are non-refundable. Failure to pay the final balance by the due date may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of your initial deposit.

2. Arrival and Departure

  • Check-In Time: Official check-in begins at 7:00 PM.

  • Early Arrival Policy: Guests are requested to arrive no earlier than 6:45 PM on their scheduled arrival date. Access to the property and its surrounding grounds will not be granted prior to this time.

  • Check-Out Time: Guests must fully vacate the Property by 11:00 AM on the date of departure.

3. Property Use and Prohibited Activities

To ensure the safety of our guests and the preservation of the Property, the following rules apply:

  • No Open Flames: The use of candles, incense, sage, or any other form of open flame is strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises.

  • No Séances: Organized séances are not permitted on the Property.

  • Divination Tools: Use of Ouija boards, tarot cards, and other non-flammable divination tools is acceptable, provided they do not involve prohibited activities (such as open flames or séances).

  • Violations: Violation of the fire safety or activity policies will result in immediate removal from the Property without a refund.

4. Occupancy and Guest Limits

  • Maximum Capacity: The Property allows a maximum of six (6) guests at any time.

  • Flat Rate Pricing: The booking price for one night is a final, fixed rate, regardless of the number of guests (up to 6).

  • Unauthorized Guests: If more than six (6) individuals are found to be on the Property without prior written authorization, the booking will be terminated immediately without a refund.

5. Prohibition of Ticket Reselling

  • Authorization Required: You may not sell or resell tickets or "spots" for any event held at the Property without express written authorization.

  • Penalty: Unauthorized resale will result in immediate termination of the booking and removal from the Property without a refund.

6. Alcohol and Intoxication Policy

  • Arrival Screening: If any member of the party is visibly intoxicated upon arrival, we reserve the right to deny entry.

  • No Refunds for Conduct: Removal due to intoxication or disruptive behavior will not be eligible for a refund or credit.

7. Age Requirements

Our Property is intended for guests ages 18 and older. Guests aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Identification may be requested at check-in.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sanctuary of the Strange and its owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises. By booking, you assume all responsibility for any damage caused to the property by your party.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Baltimore County, Maryland.
